Project and Operations Manager

Our client is in the business of offering trusted and transparent service on money transfers. Allowing their customers to save money on their international transfers. They are seeking a talented and passionate Project and Operations Manager to work alongside their team leads and department heads across the UK, Europe, US and Canada providing oversight to all key operations projects. You will collaborate closely with the Technology Team and the business teams to execute critical business projects. This includes planning, organising staff and stakeholders, documentation management, project control and implementation. You will also work with other departments as part of our continuous improvement programmes, demonstrating excellent process management, time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities 

  1. Define the business value case and project scope in collaboration with senior management
  2. Create a detailed work plan and schedule that identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project 
  3. Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, resources, etc) required to complete the project and estimated budget
  4. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
  5. Review the project schedule with the project team and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
  6. Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
  7. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and regular project meetings, take minutes and summarise the deliverables to ensure stakeholders are organised and remain on task for the duration of the project
  8. Maintain all project documentation and records or project activities
  9. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the projects
  10. Provide project progress reports to the CEO and Executive Team 
  11. Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders and other appropriate staff on the progress of a project

Required Specifications

  1. 2+ years relevant experience in managing projects from initiation to completion
  2. Preferably a relevant professional qualification (eg. APM, PRINCE2)
  3. Experience working in a fast paced environment
  4. Proficiency in use of Microsoft office suite, ideally experience using Confluence and Jira too
  5. Strong organisational and analytical skills
  6. Excellent communicator with the ability to lead project teams, take effective project notes and provide clear project reports to Senior Management 
  7. A flexible mindset and commitment to deliver results proactively and resourcefully
